In today's quite emotional episode, I had the pleasure of meeting Janet Butts - and we talked about overcoming trauma, redefining it for herself, and turning it into a new life purpose. 

Janet is a founder of J and E Enterprises of Charlotte and Comma period Publishing and produced her JanetB TV.

After a life-altering moment in 2017, she instantly became an amputee in a devastating car accident that claimed her left hand. Janet's story is not just a tale of survival but a testament to resilience and what can happen when you redefine the narrative. She became a motivational keynote speaker, a dedicated trauma recovery coach, and the author of a book named, "I May Not Be Michelle Obama, But D*ammit, I Turned Out All Right"

We talked about:

- what she faced during her school years that she didn't understand

- what her music teacher taught her

- what she carried with her for 2 decades that became her lifestyle

- what she decided one night watching over her little daughter sleeping, and never looked back

- what she believed in her worst moments

- what decision she was faced to make when learning about her new disability 

- how she came to her senses that she needs to be resilient over the circumstances

- what she never let anybody do for her
